So sadly have to say had to uninstall AVAST Premium security due to the weird problem mentioned in the topic name. Yeh so after newest avast updates my files from shared locations (NAS on the same network) started opening extremely slow Microsoft word documents in protected mode, it could take up to 1min to load the file. Once uninstalled Avast documents are opened quick as expected. So the thing that I work a lot with documents on shared locations, this Avast caused problem is too much for me to handle. Avast is letting me down the second time within the last couple of years. The first time was broadband speed issues.
Overall product is great offering lots of tools, good protection, but always from time to time gives you a headache as well.
