Got the same message from EdwardN, please ban his ass!

But maybe you should change your Email notification layout, because recieving a email from avast with the topic: New Personal Message: URGENT MESSAGE FROM ADMIN!!!

Could be misunderstood as the admin sending out something, maybe change the title to:

New Personal Message from Forum User:  XXXXXX

it's a PM, and if you have NOTIFICATION OF NEW PMs BY EMAIL set, you will get it in your email box as well (sent to you by the Avast Forum Email Daemon ( avast@asw.cz ). I agree, the header format for PM notification emails should be changed, because, until I visited the forum, I was under the impression that A: an admin was being entirely unprofessional, or B: an admin account had been compromised and was being used illigitimately. I now have all PM messages blocked. if someone needs to get in contact with me, they can ask for my email address in the thread I create. if an administrator needs to get in contact with me, they have access to my email address (in my account profile)

Yes, very unpleasant situation...

Last night I got the same e-mail from a different user, this morning I received it again from 'EdwardN'...

I guess banning the users will not stop this scum. But I am sure something will be figured out. Unfortunately, I am not much of an expert and I doubt I could give a sensible suggestion...

But what worries me more are a few messages I read on the Forum, related to this issue, by enraged users blaming it all on the administrators, threatening to leave the Forum forever, etc. I don't think this kind of attitude could help anything or anybody. And, then, isn't it a bit too presumptious to think that Avast administrators could have anything to do with sending spam through the Avast system???

Nobody, no system is completely immune to unauthorised interventions, and the violators will become more and more inventive. Throwing the blame around and shooting angry words from the hip will not solve the problem. I think we should be more supportive.

Sorry for the non-technical message, but I like the idea of an Avast community spirit as much as I like the program itself...

Got the spam too "URGENT MESSAGE FROM ADMIN!!!" from     EdwardN  e Newbie, so why he is not banned?

Yes I got the EdwardN and JessicaA nasty spams through this forum.

If Alwil won't respond to this, much less be able to stop it, what's that say about their abilities and their product?

So far no response here or anywhere from Alwil.

Any real admins out there?
