File: message.json - What are they?
« on: December 06, 2020, 03:10:40 PM »
Hi,
after installing the AOS extension I did a scan with Hitman Pro and it found me about 174 traces of message.json file (see attachment).
They were created at the following path in the various subfolders (see attachment):
C: \ Users \ Nunzio \ AppData \ Local \ Google \ Chrome \ User Data \ Default \ Extensions \ gomekmidlodglbbmalcneegieacbdmki \ 20.2.500_0 \ _locales

What are these files?
Can I also feel comfortable on the subject of privacy?

Thanks.
Thank you and good day!

Personally I'm no fan of hitman pro and would take much of what it finds with a pinch of salt (a lack of confidence i what it reports).  I would have though, having a cyber security avatar, you might have known.

Have you not tried a google search for this, that would have been the first port of call.

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=message.json especially what are they (JavaScript Object Notation files).
These can have a legitimate purpose, but no doubt they could also be misused.
