The Bat Plug-in
« on: January 25, 2004, 05:44:02 PM »
I have installed the latest version and am using the plug-in for The Bat but it is not scanning messages before they are sent. I can send the eicar test with no complaints. Is this a bug?

Also as a request, is it possible to get the notification of a virus when one is downloaded when using the plug-in.

I tried sending the zipped eicar test file, but the plugin blocked it. Do you have the "check outgoing mail for virusses" checked in The Bat! ?

Yes I do. Are you using the latest version of the plug-in? I had tried it once before and it was scanning outgoing mail, but in the new version 4.1.335 it is not working.

What about inbound mail? Does that work as expected?

Yes, inbound mail seems to be working alright, at least with Eicar.
Using Windows 98se and The Bat v2.03beta47.
