Your operating system is 'what version of Windows are you using' from the contents of the chest which you posted I can now see that you are using Windows XP.

The avast chest is made up of different sections, the System Files contains backup copies of important system files, they are used to recover if a virus infects the original. So these are no problem.
The Infected Files are where any infected files detected are placed and the one you gave earlier and should also give the virus name see image example sorry it is in English.
Quote
thekeys[1].htm c:\Documents and Settings\pc\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\W96JWDEZ

Because this file was detected on your hard disk by the standard shield provider, then it wasn't intercepted by the web shield provider like I would have expected, this is why I keep asking if it is working/enabled. The operating system (Windows version) plays an important part in how this works.

Left (double) click on the avast icon, that should open the on-access providers window, select the Web Shield icon and it should show a Last Scanned: and Scanned Count: field these should contain something and the count should be greater than 0 if it is working, See image 2.

Reference your last post:
The virus in the chest isn't a problem, it can do no harm there, I'm concerned that there may be other problems, web shield not working and possibly something undetected on your system.

I can't do a remote connection to attempt a fix/check of your system.

Sorry I haven't been able to devote much time to the forums tonight and this is just a quick visit.
The web shield would appear to be working in that it has stopped the download prior to it getting on the Hard Disk.

The path you gave rang a bell with me as it has been seen in another Topic recently and with my suspicion you have something else on your system, I suggest you look at this topic (see below), take your time and print the topic out if need be and try to work through it a step at a time.

There are tools which fix specific things, the difficult part if does the problem they have match your. The access to d.mettere.net was the trigger for me that it could be similar there may be many different things going on at that URL (site), more than one different form of malware. I appreciate it is difficult for you, which is why I suggested printing the Topic out so you might try to follow it easier whilst you are off-line.

avast on its own or any single anti-virus program is able to fully protect you and you also need a firewall that provides protection against unauthorised outbound connections. The one that comes with XP SP2 doesn't provide that protection. Do you have a firewall, if so which one ?

If you haven't already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it, preferably in safe mode.
1. Ewido, a.k.a. avg anti-spyware If using winXP. or a-Squared free if using win98/ME.
2. Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition
3. Spybot Search and Destroy
4. Spywareblaster Don't install this until you are clean.

Whilst the windows XP firewall is usually good at keeping your ports stealthed (hidden) it provides no outbound protection and you should consider a third party firewall.
Any malware that manages to get past your defences will have free reign to connect to the internet to either download more of the same, pass your personal data (sensitive or otherwise, user names, passwords, keylogger retrieved data, etc.) or open a backdoor to your computer, so outbound protection is essential.
- Zone Alarm free http://www.zonelabs.com works fine with avast and has a reasonably friendly user interface. There are others, Comodo, Sunbelt Kerio, Jetico, etc.

   :) Hi Paulina :

To help protect your computer from all the 'bad" things that can get on it
through the phone lines, you should have MORE THAN an antiVIRUS program,
like Avast . You should have at least one antiSPYWARE program, and I
recommend you use "SUPERantispyware" ( the FREE version ) by downloading
it from www.superantispyware.com . I will warn you that you have to click on
its main screen almost daily to get the "Updates" that have been
      released.

I gave a link to Zone Alarm (ZA) in my last post, it is also a large enough company that it may have a version in your native language.

The big problem with firewalls are they can be very complex, but ZA is more friendly than most, but a firewall is an absolute must have. The other programs I mentioned are to give a protection in depth.
