Avast is stuck trying to update these two programs.

Hello,
Avast is stuck trying to update these two programs.

Is there a fix or should I skip updating them altogether?

I would suggest skipping them in the Smart Scan and try the specific AvastUI > Performance > Software Updater.

I have just done that for one of my programs and it completed with success.
