When a malicious code pop-up appears on a legit website, am I correct that it is best to close the website and revisit it a week later? If no further pop-ups appear, it is safe. If the pop-up continues to appear, close the website and let the website operator know? Yes/No?

I am a 90 year old woman so this clarification would be appreciated.
