Hi forum members,

Could repair it inside Acrobat 7.0 just re-installing the settings for Windows set-up.
It works again,

You could also have used Foxit Reader.   :)

I use Foxit reader, but I've never been able to get it to open a pdf file on-line (with IE or firefox), acrobat keeps butting it to open the file.

You must disable the IE BHO of Acrobat (Tools > Suplements)
BHO: AcroIEHlprObj Class - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.ocx

Maybe just run:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE /u "C:\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.ocx"

I've not tested as I want this BHO.
The best things in life are free.

@ Tech
As I very rarely use IE (almost never) the BHO removal is probably a good idea as it is even rarer that I would be browsing with IE and viewing a pdf file.

@ Bob
The only reason I still have it is because of the issue I mentioned, catch22, can't live with it, can't live without it ;D
