Scan Results
« on: October 22, 2006, 08:07:13 PM »
I've been using avast! for about two and a half years and am fully satisfied with it (I think), but I have a low-tech question.
It occurred to me after my regular Sunday scan this morning that I have no idea if my experience with avast! is typical, so here are some figures that other members can tell me are normal or not:
No viruses detected (for about 6 weeks or more, now).
34 minutes to scan.
5.8 gb's scanned.
About 130,000 files scanned.
59 "Unable to scans."
I used to get annoyed with the almost daily update interfering with reading my email; now I go get another cup of coffee while it does its thing.
Any reactions are welcome.

With the archive option checked? Seems normal... Do you think not?

Avast update? Are you sure? The updates are incremental. This is the wiser method of updating I have ever seen in a antivirus  ;)
You can always set it to manual... and not automatic... although it's not advisable...
