Avast said my email has been hacked
« on: December 17, 2020, 07:48:46 PM »
I ran something new in avast today I had not noticed before and can't find again now but I am also now exausted from trying to sort this myself.

The program whatever it was had me add my email I did and got a message my email had been hacked several times.  The Answer was to get rid of the problem first then change the email password and any account associated with that email... including this one.

I did a full scan which showed nothing I did a boot scan just to be on the safe side ... did it twice a coupld of notices came up but no viruse ect.

These are the issues found on boot that supposedly according to my research don't mean much... Avast error 42102
Status device error windows system driver store firle repository very long no short code
windoes SxS a couple other widowns issues.

Was this just a fluke... by the way I could not get into my avast account today and had to get a new password.

do I have a problem or not?

seems it was avast hack check
