Some details might help, e.g. what do you consider High, what are you doing on the browser and what is your CPU, etc. ?
Can you compare it to the CPU use with your previous browser (which was) ?
Browsers do use a lot of Memory, but I haven't found my Firefox uses much CPU activity, but that just standard browsing, no videos, games or or other CPU intensive activities. I no longer use the Avast Secure Browser, so I can't compare to Firefox.
