smile: i'm sure it's all very simple to someone who's accustomed to doing it.
i've never made a zip file before, let alone zipping part of my system32 folder that might be an important part of my system.  none of the options offered to me when i right-click the file say "send to -> compressed file" or "add a password", and i'd rather not try to guess how to do what you're asking me to do.

i'll send you the zip file i was trying to submit to Avast, okay?  no password, just the internat.exe

thank you for your patience and help, and for submitting it to Avast on my behalf; will they (or you) let me know what they find?

Sure you can send it  ;)
However we will only know if it had a virus because it will be detected.

By experience I can tell you that there are many chances that this is a virus indeed because of the icon use by the program.
I am doing a virus total scan right now. I have sent the file to avast and I will let you know of the result from Virustotal.
