Avast and Antivir
« on: October 27, 2006, 05:47:59 PM »
I am using Avast Home for quite sometime and I am more than satisfied with it. As a backup scanner I installed Antivir (without resident shield). But Avast gave out an alert that some of its functions are being discontinued.

2. Is it possible that Avast continue to provide all functions  if Antivir is without resident shield ??

Not with default settings for either resident AV, avast will detect the registry virtual device drivers, etc. on boot, you need to hack antivir about to achieve this. I suggest you try a forum search for avast and antivir as this has been covered a number of times. But, it isn't for the feint hearted not knowing your experience ntechie, but going by your screen name once you find the information you will probably be able to cope.

Good luck.

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.
