Avast status "infected" - it stops scanning
« on: November 21, 2006, 02:56:55 PM »
Hi,

Avast found a virus and removed it  :D

However, it continued and then stopped in another folder and will not finish, continue or close.

Is it infected?

Which is the path and the name of the file that the scanning stopped?
Is there any other info that you can tell us?
If you schedule a boot time scanning with avast, will it stop at any file?

Avast stopped at a Search folder.  I just closed Avast a couple of minutes ago and will start a new scan to see if the problem reoccurs.

Avast stopped at a Search folder.
??? Can you rephrase? What's that?

I just closed Avast a couple of minutes ago and will start a new scan to see if the problem reoccurs.
Also, you can check avast logs if you see anything important to post about the program. Use avast Log Viewer.
