Ashbase.Dll

 ??? Hi there....I just downloaded avast 4.0 Home edition. I get no revolving icon at bottom and when I click on desktop icon its say I have no Ashbase.dll file. Should I uninstall everything and start over? I had an old version I unistalled before installing newer version. Thank you for your help!

Yes, make sure the folder is deleted, then reinstal again. Also make sure your email client is off before you install email support.

In case of missing avast! file you can also use "Repair" option of avast! setup - go to Control Panel and use "Add/Remove Program" applet. In its dialog select "avast! antivirus" and choose click "change/remove" button.
