False Positives?
« on: January 14, 2021, 02:32:01 PM »
Hi,
Trust you are well.

I am on Android 8.1.0 using Avast Mobile Antivirus which has been fully updated.
Avast's smart scan is flagging 2 system apps Settings and Bluetooth as infected with malware only when connected to the internet, and not when offline.

I also did a full system scan with Sophos and checked those files with VirusTotal, which returned negative.

Is there any other way to check the integrity of these files?

Thanks.

Hi,

I don't want to share files on my phone.
But I was only wondering if any further investigation is needed as the files are whitelisted by totalvirus. I checked the Sha 256 hash and they seem to have been provided by my phone manufacturer as per totalvirus.

Thanks
