Has or is any one using RaxcoFirstDefense ???
If you have, how does it compare to Symantec's GoBack?

Thanks  :)

Hi bob3160, I've never used goback so I can't comment.
I have BootBack ISR which is the same as first defense(both use leapfrog's snapshot technology). This app allows you to make a snapshot of your whole OS,up to 10 snapshots providing there is enough unused space to do so,that you can boot to if trouble happens. You can boot to any snapshot at any time. I personally have been using this to trial different security softwares. My screenshot shows as a trial ,but have purchased and have 4 snapshots available to boot into.[/img]
The offical forum is at wilders security if you would like to read up on this.Hope this helps

Thanks  timcan,
I like the fact that it doesn't need to setup seperate partitions like in image file
or, like GoBack.

Is there a limited free version or only the trial one?

Only the trial. If you like it, you'll have to buy it.
That's why I'm asking questions.... ;D ;D

@ Timcan
Do the snapshots have the same size as the drive they are imaging ?
If not can you give some idea as to how much the image is compressed?

Hi,yes the snapshots are the same size. You would need to have plenty of unused hard drive space to be able to have several snapshots to boot to.Two snapshots minimum needed(primary &secondary).

Well... any good backup (image) tool will allow compressing, from Norton Ghost to Acronis  ::)

Tech,
This isn't designed as a back-up or imaging tool. It's meant to be used like GoBack or
SystemRestore.

Doesn't GoBack compacts the data in a separate partition? Or does it just store the date?

Compacts, which is why it takes longer.
