Username duplicated.
« on: November 08, 2006, 01:15:53 PM »
On logging on to the forum today ,I was amazed to see a post " Virus removal problem " 7/11/2006  posted by J.M.REID. As this is MY user name since 2005 and I did not post this , does this mean someone else has registered the same name ???  Surely this is not permissable and should have been picked up when they registered. Could you please advise who I contact to rectify this matter as soon as possible., thank you.

The post was not dated 7/11/2006, but rather 11/10/2005 (the very first post of "j.m.reid" user, actually).
The thread appeared on the top because somebody else "revived" it recently by posting additional questions there... so, maybe it was you [who wrote the original post] after all?

Check your Profile and look for 'Show the last posts of this person.' Click that and it will show you all your posts, ever, as Igor says it looks like you did start that Topic.

My apologies for rant . As correctly stated by DavidR and Igor , this was my first post  and was revived .If I had taken more time ,I would have seen the date of the post and not went of making  stupid insinuations. The saying "Look before you leap " would be appropiate for me in this instance . Once again ,apologies and thanks for replies and explanations.
