« on: November 12, 2006, 08:33:21 PM »
;D This is a simple topic.
I have download the new FireFox 2.0.
but ,and this is me question, does AVAST FireFox scanning,or is
this Brouwser imuum for virusses and spyware.
O i know that FireFox ,used a lot of IE6 or 7.and he stay in Software,
and the Map C.Local.
You must almost think that FireFox & Windows/IE coming  from the same
family.
So i mean have i need special programs for FF?

The Web Shield is scanning all the HTTP traffic of Firefox 2.0 (also all older versions of the browser are supported too)  8)
You don't need any special program to use the Web Shield with Firefox   ;)

Hi,

People who use Linux most of the time say:

"Get a linux" when they read about PC's getting infected with spyware, or adware.

Seems they have no trouble with Linux systems, I have yet to try it.

noadware.
I understand that you use Linux now?
Is it good,or is it to early something to say about that?

On this moment i found FireFox 2.0 very good. I like it that the programm
so quick reacting if i discover internet.
But me family is IE mad,so you see every one have a different choice.
This afternoon i read on a forum that many boys are afraid of Google.
And i hope that you read why! Politic under presser? Who knows.
But George Bush is no longer Hot,so why afraid from Google.
Every one must know that Google a great part of FireFox is.
But i have no fair for that.

Cactus Jack,
I find you charming although I won't pretend for a second to understand what you've just said! This I know... I read on MozillaZine... Googlebar is recommended for Firefox, not Google Toolbar. MozillaZine is full of good stuff--which extensions are problematic etc. It so well written. My Firefox 2 cents for you!
Ciao! :)

Cactus Jack,
Agree with above comments by La Femme Michele.
If they don't fix a problem in IE7 within a week, I will use FF 2, too. (English test  ;)
With Firefox, the only extras you need are what you choose to run as "plugins".
These might be required for using websites that use flash, java etc.
These are easy to add into FF, it will show you how.

Firefox does not make your computer immune, but it uses a different software, which is less of a target for virus/malware. So sometimes  something bad can get into the computer through IE, it might not be able to in Firefox.
So it's more secure.

As long as I received a notification of activity on your thread & I'm here I'll share the extensions I felt important (I've yet to update to FF 2--the options probably differ) By the way Mozilla doesn't make the extensions the FF community does (so different from MS).  ...Fasterfox, NoScript, DownThem All, AdblockPlus, Googlebar, IE View, SiteAdvisor* (*read about it before you put it on--there are workarounds to issues at MozillaZine & McAfee) --All the rest are compatible & basic keep it simple & safe.

Yes LaFemme(fatale)Michelle.and Tarq57.Here i am back.
I have MozillaFireFox,and a few Plugins like Tarq57 said.
And thats it! It works good and easy.
And i have see the Toolbar for download this, but i don"t love Toolbars.
I say always,Keep it simple.
And i see a test today that FireFox better is than IE7.
So what do you want more?
I use FF now 6or 7 days and i like it to fly all over internet like a Formula 1Car.

There are a number of spoofs like this doing the rounds, it would almost make you check it wan't April 1st, April fools day.

If it were true you can guess that the Internet Media would be all over it like a rash.

This image has been in the forums previously, I think it was drhayden1 who posted it.
