Wired Local Trusted Networks
« on: January 23, 2021, 08:49:38 AM »
It seems imposible with the Avast Secure line to add multiple local networks in the trusted localnetworks.
Local networks seems only identified via Wifi.

At home I may be connected via Wire, and I have more than one wired network, because I rent some room in my house.
I would like to be able to declare them so has to be able to connect to those local ressources while using internet and Avast SecureLine...

Yet it does not seems possible.

Process would be to declare the IP local networks (192.168.x.y/24) in the trusted network list.
Note: To take into account the fact than some PC may change location, may be :
  • attach the list of trusted network to the detection of a Wifi network name.
  • Or ask the user to specify the location.
  • Or Avast detect from internet the location and adapt the location to the seen external IP.
Note: I post this suggestion after exploring my newly aquired Secureline on OSX.
