Rebuttal needed for Avast scandal report

Did you read all of this and or check out the other links.

I ask because in that article in paragraph 3 is about 'December 2019' further sown it gives a date of 2013, Avast acquired Jumpshot and that one has been talked to death in the forums, not to mention by the CEO (if memory serves me right).

So pretty much old news.

I know this didn't just happen, and I know Avast has issued statements about these things in the past. But I'm not looking for that. I was wondering if someone here had a succinct answer on why that article is either not accurate or a non issue.

Given how old it is you are going to have to search the forums, as I said there has been much about this in the forums.  Not to mention Jumpshot closed down.
