Heard of PCImmunity?
« on: November 11, 2006, 07:55:51 AM »
Has anyone seen or used a program called PCImmunity?

It claims to automatically update your avast, AVG, Norton, McAfee, SpyBot, SpySweeper, Ad-Aware and ZoneAlarm programs.

Should a virus, spyware, or hacker manage to shut down a security application, PCImmunity will automatically restart it.

Mmmm... Sounds interesting. What do you think?

Is it worth $4.99?

I have to agree with YLAP. I do not trust some other program to take care of all my security and I like to take care of my own security programs.

And, al968 is right ... avast! takes care of it's own updates.

Hi,

If it is just $4, and third party software I won't install it. If it was that good by now I would have heard about it cause I read computer security articles often.

Price doesn't determine quality. There are many Free programs which are excellent.
Never judge a book by it's cover.
In this case however, downloading an unknown program from an unknown source to
do a job that is already built into each program, makes no sense. IMHO
