SBS edition - Exchange provider nor running
« on: October 29, 2006, 02:45:59 PM »
It reads: Waiting for a subsystem to start

What should I do.

Another thing:

How can I push the avast client transparently to the client computers?

Is there a silent setup?

Thanks in advance

Just start the Exchange or your email client... the service will start automatically after that.

I'm not sure, but with ADNM version you can use ADNM Deployment Task to push the avast installation through the clients.
Maybe there is something similar on the Server version.

Well, I'm not an expert on Server version. Just a PC user  :-[

Are you talking about the "Exchange 2000/2003" or "Outlook/Exchange" provider?
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.

Yes, it's the Outlook/Exchange the one that is failing.

Actually what I want to make sure is running is the Exchange 2000/2003 provier. Which I am almost sure is not runnig because infected items are reaching user's mailboxes.

I installed avast using the server version, I'm running Small Business Server 2003. I downloaded it from the "Small Business Server" link. During installation, it ran smoothly and didn't ask any technical questions.

What am I doing wrong?
