MacBook Pro has many interfaces when running Wi-Fi scan
« on: February 01, 2021, 05:02:29 PM »
Hello,

My apologies if this is a silly question. I ran a Wi-Fi scan on my network, and everything appears to be normal (Avast says that all devices are secure). When I go into the device scan for my MacBook Pro (which is the device I have Avast installed on), it lists many interfaces. Is this normal? When I go to my router's administrative page, the only MAC address it has listed under this device is the one beginning with 'A4'. What are the other MAC addresses doing, and are they normal? Is it possible someone on my network is impersonating this MacBook?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: It appears these are standard network interfaces for Apple devices.
