Avast Browser Prevent Windows 10 to Sleep
« on: April 04, 2021, 03:56:06 AM »
After I installed Avast Browser, my computer won't sleep automatically.

System sleep diagnostics show that because the browser check for an update too often, even when I didn't open/use the browser.

I have to uninstall it due to this issue.

Hey Krisss, would you be able to provide us with the Windows version and build number? Also with ASB uninstalled has the issue gone away?

Alongside this, just to help us find the cause of this could you reinstall the browser and if the issue persists could you export the XML file for the AvastUpdateTaskMachineUA scheduled task (this can be done by opening the Scheduled Task manager, right clicking on the task and selecting export.)
