On February 10, 2021 (afternoon CET) we will be carrying out a small backend update that relates to an unsupported component with our Avast Business Antivirus version connected to the Avast Business HUB and un-managed versions.
Recently you may have seen Software Updater component available to install or the Software Updater component listed within your Avast Business Antivirus UI when using the Avast Business HUB. As this component is unsupported and was placed into end of life status in 2019, we will be updating our backend to remove this component to some devices that may have it installed.
With this small update, some devices that have this unsupported component may require a restart (not a forced restart), and the user will be prompted to postpone the restart or restart immediately.
