On-Access Scanner Message

Can some one tell me how to turn off the pop up window that comes from the lower right side of my screen.  sometimes it covers a 1/4 of my screen

This option is off by default (Show detailed info on performed actions), so you must have been tweaking avast without checking the help file as to what the setting does.

There are individual providers that have this option so you will have to check each in turn, but they are in the same location within the different providers settings.

Example for Standard Shield.

If you want them, but very configurable, with small fonts, less messges...
Well, click Settings in my signature and discover the power of avast configurability.
If you want just to disable them, well, follow David's advice  :)
