Avast customer service phone number

I got an email from Avast saying they want to charge me $200 for a year subscription. I don't even want Avast. What number do I call to tell them I want out? I don't trust the phone number on the email because it could just be a hacker waiting for me to take the bait and hack my computer.

Sure sounds like a phishing attempt to me. Not a genuine article or communication from Avast.

The email did give me three days warning of charging me $200, so yeah, real short notice. I don't even remember signing up. That's why I just wanted someone official to call. I did just find this number (1-844-340-9251) for remote tech support and they just told me they don't know who I am.

Definitely a scam, no dout right there. This scam for avast is getting quite popular, i have saw multiple topics like this one in the last 2 weeks.

Well it's the 18th and I haven't seen any money taken out of any bank accounts of mine so I think I'm in the clear. Oh and a search on google for that phone number just gave me some place in Texas. I imagine if it was a legitimate business the internet would tell me right?
