Use hardware acceleration when available makes scrolling very jerky when turned on.

Web pages with lots of pictures scroll much smoother with hardware acceleration turned off.

This seems backward to me.

It seems like hardware acceleration should make things smoother.

Using Big Sur 11.3 beta 2 on a M1 MacBook Pro.

Best to post in the Avast Mac Security sub-forum, whilst the logic might be the same the system could have other functions also using hardware acceleration, so the two could conflict.

You may find a similar topic.
