My subscription supports up to 10 computers - sharing rules?
« on: February 22, 2021, 02:50:21 AM »
Hello all,
Relatively new subscriber to Avast. I purchased the subscription that supports up to 10 computers. How do I share my subscription without revealing my user name and password. I want to share my subscription with my sister, but it's not entirely clear how to do this without giving her my login name and password.

Is this allows in the terms? I couldn't find any rules forbidding this kind of sharing.

Thank you

Hi, I'm not aware of any "sharing rules", so it's basically up to you. ;)

I think the issue is that all of these devices would have to be linked to the one avast account.

This is I guess the OP is worried about having to give the account details so they can be linked to that account.

Well, if he doesn't trust his own sister, he probably shouldn't share it at all.

I think the point is that if you can share the license, you should be able to share it securely.

Afaik, you can do that with Avast One, but it's only available in Australia (for now).
