A friendly warning

I have Avast Cleanup which is auto-renewable every year. After my  first purchase a few years ago just before the renewal date I received an email from Avast in which they said that they were sorry to lose me as a customer and offering the same program for some ridiculously low price. Foolishly I took them up on this offer and it took ages to persuade Avast to return my money.

Despite this I have received endless emails over the last month stating the same incorrect information that ‘they are sorry to lose me’ which if they bothered to check they would find out that this is untrue as I am on auto-renewal subscription. So they are still at it and why they do this is a mystery to me but I just want to warn others in case they fall into the same trap.
