Submitting PKG files to the FTP Whitelist server?
« on: March 04, 2021, 12:01:57 AM »
On my PC I always submit my signed EXE installer via FTP to the Avast Whitelist.

I have now developed my first Mac PKG installer. It is signed and notarized. I am not putting it in the app store at the moment. Do I still need to submit it using the FTP Whitelist site?

Hello,

I think it is not needed. The notarisation process is basically an Antivirus check done by Apple. At least that is what they claim. Avast will not detect your application unless it contains a malware so if you want to be sure, you can just scan your .pkg using Avast Security.

I hope this answers your question.

Best regards,
