Hello, I just posted in another thread with someone having a similar issue, but decided to make my own thread just incase so that people can see this.
This morning I started my computer, everything was fine. I shut it down for 1 hour, came back and Avast was telling me my Behavior Shield, Ransomware Shield and Password Protection were all turned off. I restarted my computer and Avast said the same thing. I turned the Shields on but why is this happening? This is the first time it has happened to me.

I am using Avast Premium, Version 2.1.1.2449 - build 2.1.1.5968.643
Windows 10 Home 2004 64bit Version 1904
No other AV installed

This is concerning? I am running the Full Virus Scans but don't see anything coming up.

Try the following,

Repair Avast:
Open the Avast User Interface > Menu > Settings > Troubleshooting > Repair App. > Restart the Computer or,
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed

If Repair doesn't fix the problem, try the following:
If your Avast settings are not the default settings and you want them restored after the Clean Install, follow this before removing Avast.

Hi everyone.

I’m very concerned as I’m experiencing the same problem. Every so often two of my core shields (Behaviour and Web) are turning themselves off and I’ve got no idea what is causing this.

What’s even more concerning is that I’ve just done a clean re-install and it’s still happening.

I booted up my PC in safe mode, used the uninstall utility, checked to make sure Avast had been removed from my PC, restarted, did a completely clean install of Avast (free). Despite this, it’s just happened again. I’m using the latest edition as of today on Windows 10.

If I could please get a prompt solution as to why this is happening I’d be very grateful. I’m usually a big fan of Avast and wouldn’t want to use any other antivirus software, however I can’t afford to leave my PC with this sort of vulnerability.

Many thanks in advance.
