How to use Outlook to follow up emails

I want to know if anyone has a clean way to use Outlook to help track issues on emails I've sent so I can remember I need to follow them up. Any ideas?

Well, this is an antivirus forum... What exactly do you want? A calendar with sent options, emails waiting to be answered, etc.?
