can avast detect the denial of service trojans, any ideas? just curious, take care.

My guess would be no.

I believe your fist line of defence against DOS attack would/should be your firewall, mine detects and protects against DOS attack.

avast can sure detect most DoS-TROJANS,
if they are on / trying to enter your PC

but of course it can't detect the network-attack against your PC from another PC which has said trojans active
