False Positive - Affecting our site
« on: March 22, 2021, 11:53:07 AM »
Hello,

We have had a few users bring this up to us, mentioning that both Avast/AVG are blocking our PDF to Word tool mentioning that there is a phishing issue. This may have very negative implications for our users as well as ourselves. We have already sent a notification of this on the false positive report form, but would like to get it fixed as quick as possible.

The specific URL is:
https://www.ilovepdf.com/pdf_to_word

I would be thankful for a speedy response on this issue.

Regards,

Hi pdfguy,

Everything seems fine, Word Press security scan - all green.
Tested here and also an all green: https://www.immuniweb.com/darkweb/?id=d8h0T8RR
See the cybersquatting and typosquatting issues (from Montenegro and Australia that can get you flagged with another
domain extension) but no phishing has been established.

So wait for a final verdict from an avast team member, as they are the only ones to come and unblock.
We here are just volunteers but with relevant knowledge in the field of website security and error-hunting
(cold recon 3rd party),

Have a nice day,

polonus
Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Hello,

This is happening once again.

It is the third time within a year.

How can we stop this from occurring?

Nothing much I/we can do on the forum, only the guys from Threat Labs can answer that.
