FIX AD Block!
« on: March 25, 2021, 06:17:16 PM »
As Title AB not working on any sites, Set to strict or any other setting does nothing, turning it off and on does nothing.

Most annoying please fix asap.

Hi Stephen,

I am sorry to hear you are having troubles with Adblock and thank you for reporting this to us. Can I please ask you to share the following with us? In Avast browser, paste the following 'secure://settings/diagnosticInfo' into the address bar, then copy the contents of the page and share it with us here. We will try to investigate.

Also, has this been manifesting always or started after an update or any other event you noticed?

Have a good day.
Pavel @ Avast

I can confirm that there's a problem with AdBlock.  It started after the most recent update. Changing the settings in the AB doesn't make any difference.

As Stephen already mentioned, AD-Block is not working at all.

In the past the settings were on balanced. Today i tried to change the settings on strict, but it didnt changed anything at all.

Is there any fix/update planned for the next days ?

I thought it only happened to me.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the avast browser but the AB doesn't work at all. Will there be any solution soon?

Hi, unfortunately I have to join the complaints.
To be more precise, at least in my case, it's not that it has stopped working, it IS active, it just blocks 0 ads (to be fair, this isn't the first times it happens, IIRC every once in a while I have to "poke it" to wake up), on every site not just on youtube as mentioned here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=235928.15#msg1594318
It has been quite a few days.
Thanks in advance.

Update Ad's are back, AB icon lit green but blocking 0 ads once again, still set to strict...

Just  to clarify that's Ad's on page, banners and full external site pop ups are getting through.

What kind of Screenshots would you like to get?? Screenshots of active AD's on websites ?

My Avast Adblock is always on (green icon), set on balanced (in the past) and now on scrict (but it doesnt rly change anything).

There are still AD's on different sites, banners etc.

Different Ads on different sites really isn't helpful. Specifics would be helpful.
Avast can't fix a problem without knowing exactly what the problem is.
