Is it safe to delete large Avast quarantine folders?
« on: March 26, 2021, 03:04:12 AM »
Dear Anyone.

Not got  the world's biggest hard drive on my home-made PC.  Avast's done a great job cleaning up viruses for me - but its chest/quarantine folder (call it what you will) is 5gig which, on an 80-gig hard drive (I know that's small by modern standards but don't yell at me about it, need to save for new PC!) is a bit of a munch.

Is it safe to delete the folders/subfolders to free the space up, or does that just free the viruses again (not sure how this works)?

Yours puzzledly

Chris.
