Scanning attachments within eM Client
« on: March 29, 2021, 04:45:26 PM »
I don't know who this needs to be directed to, but I paid for my subscription to Avast Premium Security and I am not getting all of the features I should get.
I have an email client (eM Client - version 8.1.1060 ae1b098) for my Google email and I get a fair amount of attachments.  I just queried tech support at eM Client and asked them how I can get Avast to scan my attachments.

The tech support person told me that Avast is now treating eM Client as a rogue or malicious program.  I know that is not entirely true, but my attachments are NOT getting scanned.  Why am I paying for only a part of the features of this program?  I know you guys don't care, but I am on disability and don't have good health care.  I try to make the most of every dollar I spend.  I was planning to renew my Avast licenses, but if you cannot help me - I may not.

Please advise when (or if) you plan implementing attachment scanning  for us people with email clients.

How do you know it does not?

Info: All mail providers have virus/spam filter on there mail server so your mail is already scanned when you recive them, and gmail use two AV engines

I just verified your statement and learned that it was correct.
I did not know this prior to my post.  No need to get snooty.
