Anti-Track spamming subscription alert
« on: April 08, 2021, 05:27:08 AM »
I just installed anti-track on an new computer and for some reason it is spamming messages saying that my subscription expires today and yet my subscription is good until February of next year. When I open it I see the correct subscription fate yet about every 7 minutes I get a new alert in the middle of my screen which interrupts what I am doing saying that my subscription expires today.

Don't feel bad, man, at least you bought the stuff. I signed up for the free trial, decided it was a tad high, canceled the renewal.
That was a month ago. Still getting the "YOUR ANTI-TRACK SUBSCRIPTION HAS EXPIRED" pop ups every. single. day. At least once, usually several times a day, overriding my notifications settings, overriding game mode, often in a nonmodal form that has no X to cancel out. Somewhat urinated off to see the obnoxious thing pop up between me and the dragon I was handily slaying until someone pasted a GIANT RED SQUARE over my eyes.
I'd love to support them, frankly, but last time I broke down and bought the AV they started with the nonstop pops immediately, and abused their system privilege to the point of utter rudeness and beyond. I never have this kind of idiocy occur if I just stick to the free antivirus and never touch anything else. I must remember that next time I am tempted to try one of these a la carte app fragments.

hi,
One guy in the French section seems to have a rather similar problem.
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=246705.msg1616496#msg1616496
His antitrack premium subscription is valid until 2022 but the popup tells him that he is being tracked, that he is not protected and that he should buy antitrack premium.
"upgrade to the premium version"
See the 2 screenshots he posted

edit:it seems that it is good now, the user has edited his message , sorry  ;)
