Keep your computer safe

Immunize against viruses
Avast lets you set how thorough of an antivirus scan you want.
In one of Power Downloader's adventures, a mechanically inclined supervillain sent a legion of killer robots after him. Power spent all day disassembling those robots in hand-to-hand combat, while the supervillain sat safe and secure in his fortress (at least until Power finished off the robots). That day, Power learned the dangers of automated attackers. Viruses are the equivalent of killer robots in the computer world, and Power keeps his computer safe with Avast 4 Home Edition. This antivirus program scans drives quickly, letting Power set the thoroughness of the scan. It offers all the features that a good antivirus program should, such as boot-up scans, constant protection, and automatic updates. It monitors e-mail and instant messages for viruses. On first use, an abbreviated help file pops up to get new users started. Power likes the interface, which can be changed with the program's skin support. The fact that it's free doesn't hurt, either.
