NewsGroups - Suspicious subject of message

I am having a problem with Avast Home and my news reader/binary.  Many of the downloads cause a pop up - Suspicious subject of mesage.  How can I disable this scan.  I don't need to worry about these messages on news groups.

The blunt tool would be to disable NNTP scanning completely, see image.o

Or check the Heuristic Tab, you can lower the slider sensitivity, which reduces the number of heuristic checks. Or you can set it to Custom and that allows you access to the Customize button. where you can further customise the heuristics.

Note that any changes to the heuristics will also apply to email not just NNTP.
