Help:) where can I download a Network Shield

I didn't use a where can I download a Network Shield at all. maybe it is dangerous?
so can you tell me where can I download a Network Shield?

You might want to change your avatar for another, this one is huge, resize or use another one. We try to keep avatars around 100 X 100 for those who don't have high resolution monitors.

Network Shield is a component of avast anti-virus and comes with the program, it isn't a firewall, so if this is what you are asking ?

- Zone Alarm free http://www.zonelabs.com works fine with avast and has a reasonably friendly user interface. There are others, Comodo, Sunbelt Kerio, Jetico, etc.

Please keep in mind that, as DavidR posted, Network Shield is not a firewall. It will protect you from certain internet attacks. Sorry, I don't know the complete list.

If for some reason the Network Shield isn't installed (but other providers are), you can go into Add-Remove Programs, click on Avast then on Change.  You'll see a number of elements such as the providers and many language-versions.  Make sure Network Shield is checked, then hit Save (or OK, or however it's labeled).

Usually you'll then have to re-boot if resident protection is changed -- you'll get a prompt saying so if that's the case.

Whilst luerdelphic doesn't state what OS he used, for those on win9x/ME are unable to use the network Shield because of OS limitations, so if that is the case trying to install like this wouldn't work.
