GRISOFT Introduces AVG Rescue CD to Restore Infected Computers

GRISOFT introduced AVG Rescue CD, a new offering for IT professionals designed to remove and repair damage caused by viruses, spyware and other malicious programs on computers running Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server. The AVG Rescue CD provides critical updates of virus and spyware databases automatically.

Not sure about competition, it would have to be better to be true competition, when you compete on price you will lose on price, when someone lowers their price.

Interestingly the price is for 1 year and 1 computer and there wasn't any other drop down options for either more computers or unlimited, so this isn't a like for like comparison.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I wasn't speaking of the features but the price.

Yeah, we evaluated the product and I have to say I'm VERY disappointed by Grisoft in this case.
In my oppinion, their Rescue CD is a SHAMELESS COPY of avast! BART CD. Same system, same features, same add-on programs... Not too inventive, really. :-[

Won't you say anything as they seem to be copying?
As their firewall, another program that won't worth in this case. It's strange that a serious and competent company in antivirus and antitrojans could be so poor when working with a firewall and, in this case, a rescue CD. Smaller companies are better 8)
Thanks Vlk for following the thread.

I'm not saying their Rescue CD is bad - all I'm saying here is that the similarity with our BART CD just can't be a coincidence (e.g. the selection of add-on programs on the CD is pretty much identical).

But we have some new plans with BART CD that will likely change this :) :)

I hope that none of your programmers have gone to Grisoft carrying with him/her the know-how 8)
Waiting for surprises on Bart CD soon 8)

I see that there has been an update today but according to the description there doesn't seem to be that "super" Bart you mentioned Vlk  :P
Congratulation on that update anyway  :)

How can we update BART, I mean, does the BART CD Manager update the program itself or just the CD?
I do not find a way to update the program, just the CD...

The BART CD Manager always downloads the latest packages (i.e."updates") automatically...
