Exchange 2007
« on: January 31, 2007, 09:48:01 PM »
Did a search on this forum and didn't see much about it so wanted to get some dialog started.

Is Avast going to support it and when?
Is it going to be an upgrade to existing license (included with current maint. subscription) or will a new license need to be purchased?

Thanks
Tony

Avast is certainly going to support Exchange 2007, but I can't give you an exact schedule.

My guess is Q2 2007.

The transition to E2K7 is not really easy as E2K7 is 64-bit only.

The new module will be covered by the existing license.

Thanks

Great thanks for the reply. I thought that it would support it but didn't see anything about it. Something I find kinda disturbing is that fact that E2K7 and Longhorn (when released) are not compatible.
We are planning on moving to E2K7 in the summer after the College break starts so hopefully Avast will be available.

Thanks Tony

You could have an edge SMTP server and filter email using avast on that server.
