Keyboard virus?
« on: February 03, 2007, 07:42:36 PM »
I have the Avast Home edition 4.7.942 with virus database 00710-0.
A few days ago my keyboard started misbehaving. Repeating key strokes multiple times, sticking, missing typed letters or numbers, If you can think of a malfunction I believe it's occurred.

I performed  couple of complete in-depth scans with Avast and some spyware programs without success as to this possible virus.

any suggestions as to what I can do, or any freeware that I can use?

thanks for any help

It isn't a virus symptom that I have come across or heard of before.

Have you tried a different keyboard ?

What type of keyboard is it, ps2, usb, wireless, etc. and does it need its own drivers ?
If wireless do a battery check.

Hi skipper :) I had problems like yours with my old keyboard, and when i swich to the new one, these problems are gone.
Maybe it's the mechanical problem with it ::)
