viruses in the mails
« on: February 06, 2004, 07:50:21 PM »
Hi.
I use Avast Home with polish version of Thunderbird.
Mails are scanned correctly, but, when avas find any virus i can't make any actions.
I can't delete becouse avast print information that acces to file is denied.
Repair doesn't work too.

I only can click ok, and delete mail manually from my incoming mail box.

No, it isn't.
I must accept infected mail, and delete it from mailbox manually.

I disabled all file extension, and virus doesn't run, but it isn't good solution.

Okay, have you run the mail wizard and checked to cover all future email accounts.

Also, make sure you don't have a custom setting on your internet mail provider for now.  Just set it to normal until you get it working correctly  I use Thunderbird so I know it is just a problem with set up.

Hi ixcesal, if you have some example of problematic email, please send it to sedina@asw.cz.
I will check it. I fixed the bug which caused error for deleting virus from email on friday (fix will be in the next program update). May be this was the same case as you have. thanks! pavels

I send you one of them.
I included screenshot of avast information.
This means that "end of file is exceeded, avast cant acces to this file".
