https://www.avast.com/community-and-support is something different than https://support.avast.com/. Certificate for our main www.avast.com website is currently installed only on a few of our webservers for testing purposes, so for some of you it is unavailable at all.

i cannot uninstall my avast 4.8 .eventhough i followed all instructions.eventhough i run aswgcr.exe it shows program cannot load iNEWS(c:\program files\alwil software\avast4\DATA\iNEWS.htm.plz help me to solve.

Could you please start your own topic for your problem, as it is somewhat unrelated to the discussion.

You should post your operating system, security programs installed, and a description of the issue you are experiencing.
For info, the uninstall utility file name is aswClear5.exe, not aswgcr.exe.

Just a question can the ticket system be used by everyone?(When I say everyone I'm including Avast Free, Pro and IS). Or this type of support is only for the paid products?

I think it's just for the paid products, not at all sure, but I wouldn't expect a support system involving techs on a salary would be available to the users of the free version.

I share the same opinion as you but neither me or you are 100% certain of this. Maybe someone on the forum knows.
It's strange because everyone from what I can see can create an account and do a ticket.
