Avast resident 110 and 25 port stay open !!!

I check with local scanner port (lps), I have see with Avast 4.0 the port 110 and 25 remain open and without ports are closed, it's same vulnerability than NAV 2002...

It's possible to close it , please thank you.

I'll second that concern!!!  With port 25 open, it is possible for a spammer to send mail through your Internet connection, making it appear to have come from your machine.

You definitely want you machine behind a firewall until Alwil closes those ports to external machines.

avast4 opens these ports, but only at the local address, invisible from the outside (by default). Are you sure you have these ports open to the outside ? Which Windows do you have ? And what port scanner did you use?
