help gone mad

 Help,
           any program that I open the help goes on and on and I can not use the program. I just scanned for virus no luck, I am trying to use regcleaner to rid new entry's, seems to work
If you know what this is please tell, and how to get rid of.

win 2000 os
512meg mem dds
do not know if this related but yesterday lost network, my router ip, was off and the cable ip address replaced it, I was down for about a hour. Router and cable are ok nowHELP

Have you tried a spyware removal tool as well.  I've never heard of this problem.  Post on this forum too...
